Camp Amicus

Camp Amicus offers day and residential camps for children ages 8 to 17 with learning disabilities and ADHD. At Camp Amicus we provide a structured and supportive environment for children to learn and have fun. Mature, caring counselors plan activities to ensure that campers build confidence and self-esteem, and have a great time. Camp Amicus has a ratio of one staff member to three campers.

We are excited to announce that Camp Amicus Residential Camp will be moving to a new location! Starting this July, Camp Amicus will be located at Goldeye Centre, a fantastic facility located west of Red Deer, near Nordegg, Alberta. We are thrilled with the new location and know that this change will benefit our campers and staff. Click here for more information on the Goldeye Centre.

Don't wait any longer, camps are filling up fast! For more information, please call the Program Director at (403)283-6606 or email to programs@LDAA.net to register. (Each child will be required to undergo a suitability interview before accepted into the programs.)

What will the campers be doing?
Campers will have opportunities to learn appropriate social skills, peer relations and problem solving. But the biggest emphasis will be on having lots and lots of fun! There will be fun activities such as swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, rock climbing, games and more. Camp Amicus is accredited by the Alberta Camping Association.
