Camp Amicus

Camp Amicus offers day and residential camps for children ages 8 to 17 with learning disabilities and ADHD. At Camp Amicus we provide a structured and supportive environment for children to learn and have fun. Mature, caring counselors plan activities to ensure that campers build confidence and self-esteem, and have a great time. Camp Amicus has a ratio of one staff member to three campers.

Our residential camp will be held at Goldeye Centre; west of Red Deer in Nordegg, Alberta. We will offer a pick up in Red Deer for people closer to that area than Calgary. Click here for more information on the Goldeye Centre.  Our day camps are held in Calgary - one in the south part of the city and one in the north (exact locations to be determined).

What will the campers be doing?

Campers will have opportunities to learn appropriate social skills, peer relations and problem solving. But the biggest emphasis will be on having lots and lots of fun! There will be fun activities such as swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, rock climbing, games and more. Camp Amicus is accredited by the Alberta Camping Association.
